All-Mozart Led by Pianist Jeffrey Kahane

AllMozartIt’s every Mozart lover’s dream: the New York Philharmonic performs all-Mozart, led by Jeffrey Kahane from the piano.

The Piano Concertos Nos. 20 and 21 (the former stormy, the latter sunny) have two of Mozart’s most evocative slow movements — so expressive that the Romanze of No. 20 closes the Oscar-winning film Amadeus, and the Andante of No. 21 makes a cameo in the film Elvira Madigan and inspired Neil Diamond’s hit “Song Sung Blue.”

Plus Mozart’s charming Prague Symphony, written as a gift to the city. Listen for hints of The Marriage of Figaro, The Magic Flute, and Don Giovanni.
